Parga Car Rental

Parga is a picturesque seaside town in northwestern Greece belonging to Epirus regional unit. This postcard-like town, with its colourful centre and mansions, the lush hill with the Venetian Castle, and the waterfront tavernas, make Parga one of the most visited areas in Epirus. Parga was inhabited by the Thesprotians in antiquity and was later ruled by the Venetians and the Ottomans. Parga played a significant role during Ottoman rule in Epirus and during the Greek War of Independence. This town on the Ionian coast is built amphitheatrically around a sheltered lush bay, with the islet of Panagia being just across the hill where the Castle of Parga stands. As you roam along its shore, you will find numerous bars, tavernas, and restaurants that can meet all budgets and tastes. The lacy coastline from Parga to Syvota is dotted with small bays, crystalline waters, verdant hills, and plenty of landmarks to explore. These areas are the most touristically developed seaside towns in the region of Epirus. Meaning that you’ll easily find anything you need during your holidays, from budget apartments to luxurious hotels, local tavernas to elegant restaurants, and lively beaches to small hidden bays. Parga is the place to be if you want to experience an island-like vibe without taking the ferry and benefit from wonderful road trips!

Rent a Car Parga

Parga’s reputation for being the finest holiday resort in Epirus is owed to its emerald-water beaches, picturesque old town, outdoor activities, and sightseeing. You will be enchanted by the stunning landscape composed of olive groves and orchards and the ridges ending up to small coves and bays. You can discover most of them on foot, by car, or by boat. The nearest must-see beaches are Kryoneri, Piso Kryoneri, Valtos, and Lichnos Beach. Kryoneri is the sandy main beach of Parga and the most organized one, with umbrellas, sunbeds, cafes and restaurants, and a great diving centre. Piso Kryoneri is located behind the hill of Agios Athanasios and it’s a small rocky cove surrounded by rocks and trees. It is advisable to visit the beach early in the morning or in the afternoon because it’s small and it gets crowded during summer. Valtos Beach is the largest sandy beach in Parga and it’s situated below the Castle of Parga. It’s an organized beach with sand and pebbles, great for all ages, and popular with experienced surfers. Lichnos Beach is a 10-minute drive away from Parga, in Agia Kyriaki, offering all modern beach facilities, a variety of watersports, and crystal-clear waters to enjoy your swim.
